Adding the uShip Protection Plan to your Shopify Orders

Once you've set up the basic configuration for your uShip Shopify App, you can explore advanced options to further customize and optimize your shipping process. 

uShip Protection Plan (UPP)

The uShip Protection Plan is an additional coverage option that can provide peace of mind for both you and your customers on high-value shipments. The uShip Protection Plan is an additional layer of protection that covers the declared value of items in transit, up to a specified amount. It's designed to safeguard against loss or damage during shipping.

Configuring the uShip Protection Plan

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to the uShip app settings
  2. Find the "uShip Protection Plan" section
  3. You'll typically have three options:
    • No uShip Protection Plan on any listings
    • uShip Protection Plan on all listings
    • uShip Protection Plan on listings with items valued over a certain amount
  4. If you choose the third option, you'll need to specify the minimum value
  5. Save your changes

Best Practices for the uShip Protection Plan

  • Consider enabling the uShip Protection Plan for high-value items to provide additional security
  • If you opt for value-based uShip Protection Plan, set a threshold that makes sense for your products
  • Communicate the benefits of the uShip Protection Plan to your customers to potentially increase conversions
