LTL Instant Rate Carriers - Limitation of Liability
While damages are rare, unfortunately they do happen from time to time. Should damage, loss, or theft of a shipment occur, any claim made with the carrier will be subject to a carrier's Limitation of Liability and any other claim limitations laid forth in the specific carrier's Rules Tariff. uShip will not be liable to the shipper for any claim or the information presented in this table or the carriers Rules Tariff. If you wish to understand the full liability of the carrier please read through the Rules Tariff completely before booking.
The table below lists the Limitation of Liability for the LTL carriers on the uShip Instant Rates Platform in dollars/cents per pound format. There are also links to each LTL carrier's Rules Tariff. All shipments are subject to the rules laid forth in the Tariff.
Please note the Limitation for Used Items are set at a fixed rate regardless of item's class (CL). To determine the density based freight class (CL #) for a new item, please see the freight class calculator here. The class is then used to determine the Limitation of Liability amount.
