Reviewing an Estimate

Updated

Prior to completing the listing process, you may receive a bell curve cost estimate. This is a ballpark number to help you plan your shipping budget. You may use it to get a general idea of the bids you can expect on your auction listing, or to get an idea of what's reasonable if you're naming your own price.

You can also get a quick estimate on uShip using our Shipping Calculator.

Simply respond to a few questions about your shipment, and we'll generate a rough estimate to help you plan for transportation. Like the bell curve model, this estimate is based on actual prices customers have paid for similar shipments booked on uShip.

Keep in mind that estimates aren't guarantees. Service providers set their own prices, and uShip doesn't have influence over the quotes they provide. Actual quotes from service providers could vary due to changes in gas prices, seasonality, weather, and overhead costs. uShip provides estimates, but only the service providers on our site can provide quotes. They know the daily expenses of their transportation businesses, and reflect those costs in their bids. If you're ready to start receiving bids, go ahead and create your free listing on uShip to get started!
