LTL Pickups
How do pickup dates work?
Pickup dates occur on standard business days (excluding holidays) and are not guaranteed. Carriers will try to accommodate your chosen date, but may need to roll it over to another day, depending on schedules, routing, capacity, and equipment availability (such as a liftgate or smaller trucks). Please be sure your pickup location is aware of the day and time pickup is scheduled to avoid an unsuccessful pickup attempt or Dry Run fee. Determine how soon you need the freight to pick up and deliver, and choose a carrier service level that fits your needs: standard or expedited.
Who loads the truck?
Due to liability reasons, drivers cannot handload a pallet or crate onto the trailer. Even if the shipment is very light in weight, or small in size, a forklift or loading dock should be available at the pickup location. Please add liftgate service if a loading dock or forklift is not available, no matter the size or weight of the freight. Not doing so will likely result in additional charges being applied to your final invoice.
