LTL Carrier Terminal Drop-offs/Pickups

Updated

We do not currently have an option on our LTL Publish Rate quoting form to select the carrier's terminal as your origin or destination location, however you can certainly still ship dock-to-dock. To do so, select "Commercial Building (With a Dock or Forklift)" from the listing form. This will get you the proper rate for a terminal drop-off or pickup.

Note: If you or your consignee plan on picking this up from the carrier's terminal, please be sure to select the "Call before delivery" box under Delivery Services as most carriers charge a notification fee.

After selecting a carrier from the quote list, you will go to the shipment details page. On the shipment details page, please write "(Insert Carrier Name) Terminal" for the company name. For example, "YRC Freight Terminal." You will then enter the carrier's local terminal address as the street address. Please use the name and phone number of the person picking up or dropping off the freight as the contact name and phone number.

The following links and phone numbers are how you can locate the addresses for LTL carrier's freight terminals. If it's a phone number listed, call the carrier to ask for terminal information. Remember that if the carrier is a consolidator, they have few, if any, of their own terminals and you might need to ask for their partner carrier terminal info.
