Additional Charge- Inside Pickup/ Delivery
If you're being billed an additional charge for inside pickup or delivery, it means that this service was signed for on your BOL or delivery Receipt. Your carrier has invoiced you an additional amount for services that were needed to complete your shipment.
When receiving your quote, you did not select inside service. Per your carrier's rules tariff, inside service refers to any time the driver must maneuver the freight across a threshold via pallet jack, as opposed to just dropping the freight at the back of the truck.
If, after researching the circumstances of the pickup or delivery, you feel the inside fee is erroneous, please email ltlsupport@uship.com with the bill of lading number for the shipment in question. Include an explanation as to why you feel that the carrier's invoicing is incorrect. If the reasoning is not at odds with the carrier's rules tariff, we'll begin the dispute process with the carrier on your behalf. Please keep in mind that if inside service is signed for by the shipper or consignee, it is near impossible to have the charge removed.
Please note: uShip has no vested interest in any type of additional charges from carriers. We want all shipments to be successful and invoiced at the quoted amount. If you believe this charge is in error please help us help you with the additional charge by following the steps above.
