uShip's Role

Updated

uShip is an online marketplace where shipping customers list shipments and select transportation service providers to complete those shipments.  If a dispute between community members develops, it’s important that you understand uShip's role in your transaction.

Remember:

  • uShip is a neutral, third party marketplace. We aren’t a service provider, nor do we assign shipments to providers.
  • uShip does not verify provider authority or insurance. We don’t prequalify or validate the claims of service providers, including with respect to their licensure, insurance and registration. uShip also doesn’t prequalify or validate the claims of brokers.
  • uShip has no control over the accuracy of listings, the ability of service providers to transport items, or the ability of shippers to send items.
  • uShip does not guarantee the verification of any member’s identity. Any identity validation methods we employ are strictly on a best efforts basis and should not be solely relied upon by our members.

It’s important to keep all of the above in mind when you're considering entering into a transaction with another member of the site.
