The site is essentially free for service providers as long as the match fee is calculated into your quote price. You only pay for what you haul, so if you don't use the site for a couple of months, then you aren't paying monthly fees for a service that you're not using.   

Service providers are charged a base transaction fee for shipments that are booked and completed through uShip. Fees are based on various market conditions; such as capacity, seasonality, gas prices, etc. You must include your uShip fees in your total quote price as part of your shipping costs. When the shipment is booked, uShip collects all uShip fees directly from the shipping customer and your fee amount is credited to your account, offsetting your uShip transaction fees that are due to uShip.

We've also included a handy dandy Quote Calculator you can use when placing your quotes. All you need to do is input the amount you want to make in the Starting quote section, and make sure the Add uShip fee to calculate the Total Quote as seen by the customer check-box is selected. If you're curious about your fees on a particular transaction, just subtract the Starting amount from the Starting Total Quote amount, and you have your fee.
