Transit Times

Updated

One thing to pay special attention to when you book your shipment is the transit time. There are three service types provided on uShip’s LTL platform:

Consolidated

This is the slowest (and almost always the cheapest) option for LTL shipping. Your carrier consolidates your shipment with several others and sends them via rail for most of the journey. If there’s no rush for your shipment to arrive at its destination, this might be a good option.

Standard Service

Most of the LTL carriers on uShip provide standard service. The transit times are relatively fast, but they are estimated. While it is likely that your shipment will be picked up on its scheduled day and delivered within the timeframe quoted, it is not guaranteed.

Priority Service

Currently, only FedEx offers this option. With their no-fee, money back guarantee, if your shipment does not arrive at its destination by the time quoted, you’ll receive a full refund of your shipping costs.

It is worth noting that for all of these options, the transit time does not include the day of pickup.
