How Feedback Works

Updated

Feedback is one of the most important aspects of your uShip profile. Get to know how feedback is earned and calculated.

Positive Feedback Score

For each shipment you complete through uShip, both you and your customer have the opportunity to rate your experience with each other as positive, neutral, or negative. These ratings make up your positive feedback score.

Positive: +1 point

Neutral: 0 points

Negative: -1 point

If you book multiple shipments with one customer, only one of each particular type of rating left by that customer counts toward your feedback score. Example: If you complete 5 shipments for a customer, then she leaves a positive rating on 3 shipments and a negative rating on 2 shipments, that means your net score from that customer is 0.

Positive Feedback Percentage

Your feedback score is converted into a Positive Feedback Percentage using the formula below.

Positive Feedback Score

(Positive Feedback Score + Negative Feedback Score)

Star Rating

Your Star Rating (1-5 stars) is another way to show that percentage. In the example below, 4.8 stars represent a Positive Feedback percentage of 95-96%.

Comments

In addition to leaving feedback ratings, all members are encouraged to write short comments detailing the reasons for those ratings.

Detailed Feedback Rating

Only shipping customers have the additional option of providing Detailed Feedback Ratings on a scale of 1-5 in the following categories.

  • Communication
  • Care of Goods
  • Punctuality
  • Services as Described

While Detailed Feedback Ratings are also depicted in star form, they don't have any bearing on the overall Star Rating.
